The Park District offers yoga classes for ages 16+.
Mat Yoga
In our regular mat yoga classes, traditional yoga postures are practiced to align, strengthen, and promote flexibility in the body. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Options are offered to allow the yogi the choice to adapt the yoga postures to their comfort level. All levels are welcome. Classes are held at the Community Center. Use our flexible registration to register for one class or the entire series.
SUP Yoga
In the summertime, the Park District offers SUP Yoga classes either at the Aquatics Center pool or at Lakefront Park in Round Lake Beach. In these classes, you can practice yoga poses on a stand-up paddleboard. Use our flexible registration to register for one class or the entire series.
Chair Yoga
The Park District also offers Chair Yoga for those 50+ on Tuesday mornings at the Community Center. All skill levels are welcomed. Exercises will be done with a chair. Classes are offered in multi-week sessions.
