Kayaking Basics
Learn to kayak in this one-day program! Instructors will provide safety tips and paddling instructions. Participants can test their skills in the pond area and explore the channel and Round Lake, if skills and weather permits.

Kayak on Nippersink
Meet at Pioneer Road Landing. Participants will be bused to Keystone landing where we will review safety practices and don our safety gear. We will paddle to Pioneer Landing. Bring water, a hat, sunscreen, and a sense of adventure. Feel free to bring a picnic or snacks. You will be required to pack out your trash, so pack wisely.
*Weather and water levels may dictate the viability of this trip.

Paddle and a Picnic
Here's a chance to enjoy paddling on Round Lake and having a picnic! Meet at Huebner Shores Park. We will review kayak safety and launch the kayaks. We will paddle across the lake to a park to rest and enjoy our picnic lunches. Finally, we will paddle back to our starting point. Each participant must bring their own picnic.

Join a staff-led kayak trip around Round Lake on the search for waterfowl and other birds that visit the lake. Staff will meet participants at Huebner Shores, briefly instruct everyone on kayak and wildlife safety, and set out on this birding adventure!
