Round Lake, IL – The Round Lake Area Park District is thrilled to announce the official launch of its new logo on Wednesday, July 1, as part of an updated brand identity that reflects its mission of bringing together the Round Lake Area through diverse and inclusive recreation, promoting wellness, and protecting natural spaces.

Every element of the new logo tells a story. The color palette draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape, with two shades of blue representing the area's lakes, ponds, and open skies, and green symbolizing its parks, trees, and natural spaces.

At the heart of the design is an oak leaf, capturing the strong, enduring presence of oak trees branching across the District's parks. The leaf's five distinct veins symbolize the five villages —  Round Lake, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Park, Round Lake Heights, and Hainesville — that make up the Round Lake Area Park District. A flowing blue wave beneath the leaf pays tribute to the area's rich aquatic resources and the Huebner Fishery Management Foundation.

“Our refreshed logo is a reflection of who we are today and where we are headed — more connected, inclusive, and rooted in parks,” said Executive Director Katie Gamroth. “It’s a fun, fresh look that celebrates our expansive park system and our commitment to creating inclusive spaces for everyone in the Round Lake Area.”

The new logo was developed as part of the District's ongoing efforts to shape its future, aligning with its recently adopted Strategic Plan and Comprehensive Master Plan. Together, these initiatives serve as a roadmap for the years ahead while honoring the natural resources, recreational opportunities, and community connections that define the Round Lake Area.

To celebrate the launch, the District invites the community to stop by on Wednesday, July 1, from noon to 3:30 pm at either the Robert W. Rolek Community Center, located at 814 Hart Rd, Round Lake, or the Aquatics Center, located at 860 Hart Rd, Round Lake, for a complimentary giveaway while supplies last.

The new logo is already appearing across digital platforms and branding materials, with signage at parks and facilities to be introduced gradually.
