Renwood Golf Course to reopen May 1 under state guidelines
The Round Lake Area Park District’s Renwood Golf Course, 701 E. Shorewood Road, Round Lake Beach, will open for golf starting Friday, May 1, following state-mandated guidelines and is currently taking reservations.
Round Lake Area Park District considers the safety of our guests our highest priority. We want you to feel confident that we are keeping your safety in mind at all times in light of the COVID-19 situation.
Renwood Golf Course will be open for golf starting May 1, with the following restrictions from the Illinois Department of Commerce as part of the Stay at Home Order. These restrictions will run through May 30:.
No practice areas: The driving range and practice green will be closed per state guidelines.
Walking Only. You may bring your own push cart. No rental push carts will be available. No caddies will be allowed.
Twosomes Only. Players shall be grouped in a twosome or as a single player with 15 minutes between each tee time to allow for social distancing per guidelines. Pairing up with more than a twosome anywhere on the golf course will not be allowed.
Tee Times Required. Tee times must be booked over the phone at (847) 231-4711 or online at www.renwoodgolf.com. People without a tee time will not be allowed on the course. All players must start off on Hole #1.
When you arrive at Renwood Golf Course, call the pro-shop to check in and pay over the phone with a credit card if you are not pre-paid. There will be no need to arrive more than 15 minutes before your scheduled tee time as the driving range and practice green will be closed. Players will be called to the first tee by a PA system on the east side of the clubhouse.
Clubhouse closed. The Clubhouse will remain locked and unavailable at all times, including restrooms. Bring your own golf equipment and supplies. No scorecards or pencils will be provided.
Limited food and beverage. There will be a limited amount of food and beverage available for pick-up and carry-out only by calling the clubhouse when you are near hole numbers 1 and 10. Orders and payment will need to be made by calling and paid for with a credit card. To avoid touch points, there will be no product in the vending machines and no water fountains available.
Pins, sand rakes, etc. To avoid touch points on the course there will be no ball washers, and no sand rakes. Please smooth the sand with your feet as you exit bunkers. Do not touch the pins or remove them from the cup. We will have swim noodles in the cup to prevent the ball from falling to the bottom of the hole.
Maintain social distancing. Please show respect to all other guests and staff and maintain social distancing on and off the golf course. Please avoid hand shaking at the beginning and end of your round.
In the event of inclement weather we ask people to go directly to their vehicles.
Any golfers not following the stated rules will not be allowed to stay on the course.
