The Round Lake Area Park District has received a Birdscape Grant ($2,500) from the Lake County Audubon Society (LCAS) to create a native habitat planting at Long Lake Park.
The goal is to support local and migratory birds, pollinators, and other wildlife by establishing a thriving landscape filled with native trees, shrubs, and plants.

Project Highlights:

  • Native species will be planted to provide food, cover, and nesting habitats.
  • The plantings will support biodiversity and improve the ecological health of the area.
  • Planting is scheduled for Fall 2025.
