UPDATE: Round Lake Area Park District closed
In response to recent community and global health concerns with the Coronavirus COVID-19, including the State of Illinois' stay-at-home order, the Round Lake Area Park District has canceled all programs and events; and closed all park district facilities, the skate parks, outdoor fitness equipment and playgrounds through at least April 30 in accordance with the governor's announcement on March 31 that he was extending Illinois Executive Order 2020-10 (Covid-19 Executive Order 8).
Refunds for programs will be offered for those programs affected directly by these cancellations
Although this is a difficult decision, our Park Board supports this action for the health and well-being of our program participants, the general community, and our staff in light of increased spread of COVID-19 and the importance of social distancing. The closure is not due to any known exposure.
The Park District will continue to work closely with local city, school, and health department authorities to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and will re-evaluate the situation and inform the community of any decisions. Updates will be provided on the Park District website and Facebook page. The Park District emails and phone lines will accept messages (Mon - Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and staff will respond as soon as possible.
