Round Lake Area Community Concert Band

The Round Lake Area Community Concert Band has been performing for more than 40 years and plays at various venues/locations throughout the area. Membership is available to high school age musicians or older, including those who want to restart their playing. Come join this group and enjoy its welcoming, relaxed atmosphere and many performance opportunities. All concert band instruments are welcome and no auditions are necessary!

Rehearsals take place on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Robert W. Rolek Community Center. Registration is required. Register for the band under memberships.

Concerts

The Round Lake Area Community Concert Band has set its upcoming concert schedule. All concerts are FREE and begin at 7:30 pm. The concerts are held at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, 2007 N. Civic Center Way, Round Lake Beach.

  • Thursday, November 7, 2024: “Victory at Sea,” 2nd annual Veterans Day concert

Band Director Ryan Ringnalda

Band Director

Ryan Ringnalda is a graduate of the University of Iowa's Voxman School of Music where he studied with George Krem and Dr. John Hill. He has also pursued advanced professional training with Rick Stout, Greg Luscombe, and Mark Fisher.

Ryan served in the United States Navy from 1996-2019. He performed throughout the United States and Pacific Rim while serving in bands from Jacksonville, FL, to Pearl Harbor, HI. He retired as a Chief Musician in 2019 and has remained very active in the local music scene. He is currently a trombonist with the Racine Concert Band, the Waukegan Concert Band, the Northwest Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Illinois Brass Band.

He currently serves as the music director of the St. James Brass Ensemble in Lake Forest, IL, and the Round Lake Community Band in Round Lake, IL. He has been a featured soloist with the Milwaukee Festival Brass, U-W Parkside Community Band, and the Lakes Area Community Band.

Ryan is married to Laura, also a Navy Musician, and they have two sons, Evan and Luke. When not off gigging or preparing for the next concert, Ryan can be found in his workshop making sawdust, or on the grill making delicious food.
