Every summer, the district's camp program promises to offer yet another exciting experience for children in the Round Lake area. Tender Hart Trails Camp

Our top notch summer program operates within our ongoing full-day licensed and accredited program. Our full-day program runs year-round, but our summer curriculum is something we are especially proud of! During these 9 weeks, our curriculum is enriched with exciting thematic units incorporating special events, the outdoors and water play! PD Contact: Joan Ellis. Kindergarten Kamp

Especially designed for kids entering kindergarten in the fall, Kindergarten Kamp offers the same great camp experiences of both our Tender Hart and School Age Camp Programs, but planned specifically for this age group of kids! Our Child Development Center staff will mix up a perfect combination of both indoor and outdoor activities, and other special events with time for a short rest included, all with the same excellence in quality childcare we've provided for years! Traditional Day Camps

The Round Lake Area Park District offers traditional day camp opportunities for children in preschool through 9th grade. Activities vary based on age, but include games, songs, crafts, water play, sports, field trips, and more. Camp locations and times vary.

Nature Camps

Campers experience nature through outdoor play and discovery. Daily activities include trail explorations, habitat investigations, hands-on experiments, wildlife observation, creative games and crafts, and more. Each day a new adventure awaits!

Sports Camps

Sports camps are a great opportunity for children to learn a new sport or to concentrate on improving existing skills. Sports camp offerings include volleyball, basketball, soccer, and healthy living.

Specialty Camps

Specialty camps offer children the opportunity to focus on specific interests and activities, while still enjoying the day camp experience. Specialty camp themes include baton, dance and theatre camps. Camp locations and times vary. Ages 5-15.

Summer Kick-off Days

Need something for your kids to do between the last day of school and the start of summer camp? Our Summer Kick-off Days offer hours of action-packed programming to help busy, working parents fill the void during this time. Each day, participants will be challenged to try new activities while also enjoying some well-known favorites from years past. Our Summer Kick-off Days will be operated by summer camp staff, so it's also a great way for campers to meet the counselors and get the ball rolling on a fun-filled summer. Everyone should bring a water bottle, towel, sunscreen and lunch with them daily. Sign up for one or all of our Summer Kick-off Days and start the summer off right!
