Grab a blanket for this outdoor, physically distanced evening story time and sing-along! Children are encouraged to wear their costumes for the parade entry to our story and sing-along location. Orchard Lane's Teen/SRSNLC building, will be our story stage for this fun Halloween family night out. Every family member attending must be registered. Masks are required. Every child will leave with a special seasonal gift. Spots are limited, so enroll now!

Create a lasting pumpkin design or spooky Jack-O-Lantern that you can enjoy year after year with our ceramic pumpkins. Pumpkins will be painted onsite and will be ready for pick up at the Round Lake Area Park District before Halloween! Your fire kiln masterpiece will last for years to come. Choose from a Jack-O-Lantern face or plain pumpkin to create your own. Registration Required.

Dance Classes

The Park District will offer a 7-month dance session from November, 2020 to May, 2021. Both in-studio and remote options are available in a variety of styles for all ages, including:

School-Age Childcare/
E-Learning Assistance for Fall

Struggling to find the balance of work, play and e-learning? Our Remote Learning Program is the solution. Spaces are still available – both full-time and part-time. Sign up for the whole week or just the days you need; from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with before-school care options.

This program serves children in kindergarten to sixth grade. Participants in E-Learning must  supply their own laptops, and some type of headphones with a microphone.

Parent-Tot Classes

Whether your child likes to make music, create art, learn about farms, run around a gym, explore Halloween themes or create a fantasy land ... we have a parent-tot class for you! Find out more details  HERE   

Museums temporarily closed

The Prairie Grass Nature Museum and Children's Neighborhood Museum are temporarily closed due to COVID-19 regulations. However, the Park District is offering a variety of Parent-Tot Classes and Outdoor Nature Programs for families this fall. For more information, go HERE
