The Round Lake Area Park District Ranger Police, with the support and cooperation of our local police agencies, provide enforcement of state law and park district ordinances in the park system and encourage user participation in the protection of all Park District resources, both natural and man-made.
Become a guardian of your Park District by reporting suspicious activities, large gatherings, fights, acts of vandalism, alcoholic beverages or graffiti. Contact the Ranger Police by calling (847) 270-9111 (CenCom). Dial 911 for emergencies.
The Round Lake Area Police Department has a new Truancy Hot Line. If you see a student out of school during school hours call (847) 366-0809. Also, don't forget that we have an Anonymous Tip Line to report gang activity and information. Please call (847) 740-INFO (847-740-4636).
The Ranger Police wish to thank Round Lake Area Mobile Eye members for their outstanding assistance throughout the year! Special thanks to Sign Central in Round Lake Park for their on-going support.
The Ranger Police wish to thank Apple Automotive for all their support. Their contribution of time and equipment are greatly appreciated.
Spend your Wednesday nights with the Round Lake Area Park District Police, other community police officers, churches and park district staff kicking off a summer program for the area's youth called the Reach One
community outreach program. For three Wednesdays, kids (ages 9-15) are treated to a variety of activities and events including swimming, games, contests and other recreational activities that give them an opportunity to "come and play" in a safe and supervised environment. Transportation is provided by the
park district and the fun starts just as soon as the kids are picked up at designated stops.
The district's recreation department and Ranger Police jointly run the program to help build a positive
relationship with the park district's Ranger Police Department and area youth. Reach One's primary goal
is to provide all children with positive role models as well as help them understand that there are many safe,
good and wholesome activities and outlets available to them.
A waiver must be completed and returned to the park district, or to the Police Officer at the bus pick-up before you can attend any Wednesday fun! NO exceptions. Click here for a copy of the waiver.
For more detailed information on how to participate in Reach One or to make donations,
please contact Chief Keith Kalodimos at 847-740-5102.
