To be presented by The Round Lake Area Park District Community Theatre. Auditions consist of cold readings from the script and singing music from the show which will be taught at the auditions. Audition Packets available November 5. Audition packets are not required to audition but will assist individuals with the audition materials. Storyline: Does Santa Claus really exist? That's a question kids have been asking for generations. In 1897, one precocious girl named Virginia O'Hanlon was determined to find an answer. Her letter to The New York Sun prompted one of the most famous newspaper editorials of all time. Editor Francis Church's response to her letter, Yes Virgina, There is a Santa Claus, has inspired future generations to believe in the holiday spirit. Created by Macy's Department store this brand new musical especially for performers age 5-18 brings the magic to life live on stage as a tuneful holiday treat.
